Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Office

This Privacy Policy describes how Global Plover Consultancy (“Global Plover”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you visit globalploverconsultancy.com, contact us, enrol in programmes, or use our training, certification, placement, visa guidance, digital marketing, or development services.

We design our practices to align with principles commonly applied by professional consultancies in 2026 — including transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, security, and respect for individual rights under applicable Indian law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where applicable) and, when relevant, international frameworks such as the GDPR for individuals in the European Economic Area / UK.

1. Who we are (Data Fiduciary / Controller)

Global Plover Consultancy is the organisation responsible for deciding how and why personal data is processed in connection with this website and our services.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal data collected through our website, enquiry and enrolment forms, email, phone, WhatsApp community/communications, events, payments and billing workflows, learning platforms we operate or administer, and related offline intake (for example campus counselling). It does not cover third-party websites, app stores, exam vendors, employers, or immigration authorities that have their own privacy notices.

3. Personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:

  • Identity & contact data: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, city, preferred language.
  • Education & career data: education background, experience, target role, certification interests, resume/CV content you choose to share for placement support.
  • Service & enrolment data: course selections, batch preferences, attendance/lab progress, mock-test scores, voucher requests, invoices, payment references (we do not store full card numbers on our servers when payments are processed by a payment gateway).
  • Visa-support documentation (where you request assistance): copies of documents you voluntarily provide (passport details, education certificates, employment letters). We process these only to deliver the requested guidance and related communications.
  • Business client data: company name, role, project brief, marketing/website requirements, and contract details for digital marketing or development engagements.
  • Technical & usage data: IP address, device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URL, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and similar analytics signals.
  • Communications: messages, call notes, support tickets, feedback, and community interactions relevant to delivering services.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as health, biometric templates, or political opinions) unless you voluntarily provide it and it is necessary for a specific service you requested. Please avoid sending such information unless we expressly ask for it.

4. How we collect data

  • Directly from you (forms, email, WhatsApp, phone, in-person counselling, enrolment paperwork).
  • Automatically via cookies, pixels, and similar technologies when you use our website.
  • From service providers acting on our instructions (hosting, analytics, email delivery, payment gateways).
  • From publicly available professional sources or referrals, where lawful and relevant to placement or B2B sales conversations.

5. Purposes and lawful bases

We process personal data for the following purposes. Where GDPR-style lawful bases apply, they are indicated in parentheses.

  • Respond to enquiries and provide counselling — to communicate about courses and services (contract / legitimate interests / consent).
  • Deliver training, labs, assessments, and certification support — including scheduling and progress tracking (contract).
  • Placement assistance — resume review, interview prep, and sharing your profile with potential employers or partners when you ask us to (contract / consent).
  • Visa documentation guidance — assisting with checklists and application readiness (contract / consent).
  • Digital marketing & development projects — scoping, delivery, billing, and support for business clients (contract).
  • Payments, accounting, and fraud prevention (contract / legal obligation / legitimate interests).
  • Service improvement, quality assurance, and analytics — understanding how our site and programmes perform (legitimate interests / consent for non-essential cookies).
  • Marketing communications — course updates, webinars, offers (consent or soft opt-in where permitted; you may opt out anytime).
  • Security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance (legal obligation / legitimate interests).
  • WhatsApp community operations — moderating and communicating within the community you choose to join (consent / legitimate interests).

6. Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies (2026 practices)

We use:

  • Essential cookies — required for security, load balancing, session continuity, and core site functions.
  • Preference cookies — remember choices such as language or dismissed notices.
  • Analytics cookies — help us measure traffic and improve content (e.g., page performance). Where required, we seek consent before non-essential analytics.
  • Marketing cookies / pixels — may be used for remarketing or campaign measurement if enabled; disabled until consented where required.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, our cookie banner/preferences. Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality. We aim to minimise tracking and do not sell personal data as a commercial product.

7. Artificial intelligence and automated tools

We may use productivity or support tools that include AI-assisted features (for example drafting replies, summarising FAQs, or improving website content). When we do:

  • We instruct vendors not to use your personal data to train public models where contractual controls allow.
  • We avoid uploading unnecessary personal or confidential documents into public AI tools.
  • Significant decisions about enrolments, placements, or visa outcomes are not made solely by automated systems without human involvement.

8. Sharing and disclosures

We do not sell personal data. We may share data only as needed with:

  • Service providers / processors — hosting, email/SMS, CRM, analytics, payment gateways, cloud storage, IT support — under confidentiality and data-processing terms.
  • Certification / exam bodies or voucher partners — when you request voucher or exam support and sharing is required to fulfil that request.
  • Employers or placement partners — only with your direction or clear consent for placement support.
  • Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants, auditors under confidentiality.
  • Authorities — when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers — if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or restructuring, data may transfer under appropriate safeguards and notice where required.

9. International transfers

Our primary operations are in India. Some vendors may process data in other countries. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections and vendor due diligence consistent with applicable law.

10. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including:

  • Enquiry records: typically up to 24 months after last meaningful contact, unless you become a client/student.
  • Enrolment and academic records: for the programme duration plus a reasonable period for certificates, disputes, and statutory retention.
  • Financial records: as required by tax and accounting laws.
  • Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe or we periodically clean inactive contacts.
  • Security logs: for a limited period appropriate to investigate incidents.

When retention ends, we delete, anonymise, or securely archive data according to our internal schedules.

11. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organisational measures appropriate to the risk — including access controls, least-privilege practices, encrypted transport (HTTPS), vendor vetting, and staff awareness. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a personal data breach that requires notification under applicable law, we will notify regulators and affected individuals as required.

12. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion / erasure in certain circumstances
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Request a portable copy of data you provided to us (where applicable)
  • Lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority

To exercise rights, email info@globalploverconsultancy.com with the subject line “Privacy Request”. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.

13. Children

Our services are directed to adults and career-oriented learners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 without appropriate parental/guardian involvement. If you believe a child has provided data inappropriately, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

14. Third-party links and community spaces

Our site may link to WhatsApp, payment gateways, certification vendors, job boards, or social platforms. Those services are governed by their own policies. When you join our WhatsApp community, messages you post may be visible to other members; please do not share sensitive personal data in group chats.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may be highlighted on the website or communicated by email where appropriate. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acknowledgement of the revised Policy to the extent permitted by law.

16. Contact

This Policy is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice. For regulated matters, consult qualified counsel.
